Looks like you had a great day! You can ask permission to take photos … I did recently at an exhibition, and offered to blog about it, and the artist was very happy because of the free publicity! Sometimes they have their own official photographer, so it always pays to check … =D
Good idea, I usually end up yaking with some of the artists while I am there when they have a free moment. As long as you make it clear what you are doing, some probably would like the free publicity.
