Weekly Photo Challenge: Eerie

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I like to fool around with adding animation to part of my photos like these by cutting and “filling” other pictures or color combos and then animating only part of the picture.  Gives eerie effects depending on light, shadows, color, etc.  Hope you get some ideas for your software.  I am happy to answer any questions as to how they were created as well as planning many “how-to” posts way overdue.

Caramel Deer Traxx

I have only one real vice and that is ice cream.  My favorite is Moosetracks by almost anyone or Michigan Deer Traxx and Caramel Deer Traxx by Hudsonville in Michigan.  The habit I have developed over the years is eating it after bedtime.  I will wake up an hour our two after going to bed and get myself a small bowl which is quite insane since I have already brushed and flossed and even though I rinse with water afterwards, I can just imagine what it is doing to my teeth!  Bad habit that tastes so good!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Good Morning!

I have been obsessively starting my days for the last few years with coffee.  I had quit all caffeine except that which was found in chocolate for many years because I didn’t need it.  I had always loved a good cup of coffee and when my son moved back home for a short time, he got me drinking it again.

Created my own coffee T-shirt a few months ago by transferring one of my coffee photos with the simple message “Coffee.” I printed the word coffee in Vladimir script in reverse so I could go over it with a transfer pen and iron on. I then went over the lettering with fabric markers.

Some squirrels have made themselves at “home” in a tree in my backyard.  I could tell by the insulation that we would be in for a cold winter.

Apparently they raided my neighbors patio cushions and pulled out the stuffing to insulate it.  So stylish & cozy!

Weekly Photo Challenge: BIG

Jesus has been the biggest hope and salvation this world has ever seen.  When it comes to the biggest difference to humanity, there is nothing that can challenge The Golden Rule and the stark simplicity and truth of concept.  When I think of big, I think of the big sacrifice one man of God made to save the world from themselves with the simple commandment of “Love One Another.”
