Interesting variations. I grew up about a mile from Greenfield Village and probably have seen this weather vane without knowing it would one day be featured in a blog post I would read. 😉
I owned a home less than a mile away from the Village for the last 10 years, recently moved to the country. We used to be “Friends of the Village” before moving to the area and the irony was once we moved right nearby, we hardly ever went! Was able to view their fireworks from an upstairs room when they had them but no one warned me how loud they could be! 🙂
So we were almost neighbors but now are wordpress neighbors. The fireworks are quite a show! I hope you’re enjoying your move to a more rustic locale
