Does such a place exist anymore?
Maybe somewhere over the rainbow.
Many find their own bedroom a place of sanctuary from the rest of the world. I especially felt this way as a kid still at home with my big family. My family still reminds me of when I used to hide away in there after school, not doing homework but eating fudgesicles and reading what they called “Beatles Magazines” like Teen Beat or 16 magazine.

Ah yes! A teenage bedroom is certainly a sanctuary. I remember mine well – all the walls meticulously decorated with things meaningful to me. I loved that room. As for Teen Beat – I even saved a few copies and have one under our coffee table as a bit of a discussion piece when company is over. Because everyone has a favourite New Kid, right?
I do have some New Kids music, but don’t even know their names! 😉
