Shed no tear! O shed no tear! The flower will bloom another year. Weep no more! O weep no more! Young buds sleep in the root's white core. John Keats
Even more temporary than the flowers that bloom are the hues of Autumn.

Both will pertain to the autumn and Halloween that some celebrate.

I love to decorate for fall adding a few old time Halloween touches throughout, as cheaply as possible of course. I wait to get my pieces in sales, sometimes from clearance the year before.
We will start out with emphasis on curves such as the altered glass plate from Ikea I hang in front of the lighted trellis. The roundness of pumpkins, gourds & squash prevalent this time of year and various decorative items.
Now we come to the “good stuff.” The ghoulish or macabre. Not my cup of tea but many like this stuff, especially around Halloween.
One of my sons LOVES Halloween and really goes all out each year. This is him as the crow and that is his own hair, no wig. The other videos are some of the special effects that he uses. Enjoy this very “ghoulish” display if you dare!
Enjoy my PhotoDraw animated slide show for Halloween fun!
My favorite time of the year. I once saw a tree actually appear to glow from a distance but I had a witness with me as we drove towards it he turned to me and said “did you just see what I did?”
The following are some fall colors with enhanced contrast, lighting and other effects.
Enjoy the following autumn colors. Beauty is so fleeting on earth.
Examples of some of the layered effects and collages I create with my photographs.

Enjoy this “chaotic group of autumn photos!
Fall is a sign the earth is about to take a rest from producing all the magnificent foods and goods that all living things depend on for survival.
Changing seasons are one of the reasons I love Michigan. There is seldom a dull moment. I actually don’t have a favorite season anymore but I will say I hate oppressive heat and air conditioning which makes me stay north.
We do enjoy glorious seasons in Michigan.
I will also add that I am now in the season of what some call the “Sunset Years.” If this is true, I’m in for one looonnnggg and glorious of those too!
Peace and God bless! This has been an extraordinary Autumn for me. It’s a glorious transformation from summer to fall in the country like this. Helps me to deal with my loss and other changes I am still getting used to with something to be grateful for. God is good! Enjoy the last hurrah of fall! As my about page states, look but don’t touch.
Hidden Lake Gardens in Tipton Michigan is the happiest place I know of, no matter what the season. I have loved nature since I was a small child. Plants, animals, smells, the feeling I get just walking with the breeze on my face, everything about outdoors!
Fall is an especially beautiful time to me and I wanted to share some of this with you. Take care and God bless!
